About Litecoin
Litecoin (LTC) is one of the oldest cryptocurrencies, created in 2011 by Charlie Lee as a "lighter" companion to Bitcoin. Technically it is very similar — a proof-of-work coin with a public ledger — but tuned for faster, cheaper payments, with blocks roughly every two and a half minutes and a larger supply cap of 84 million coins.
