Gas Intermediate
Gas is the fee you pay to get a transaction processed on Ethereum, priced in a tiny unit of ether called gwei.
It climbs when the network is congested and eases when things are quiet. Cheaper "layer-2" networks exist partly to avoid paying full gas on Ethereum’s base layer.
